TEETH WHITENING

What is Teeth Whitening?

Teeth can begin to yellow and dull over time with age and because of certain lifestyle and dietary habits. Unfortunately, a stained and discolored smile can affect your self-esteem and cause you to feel badly about the way that you look. We offer high-quality professional whitening treatment that can be done either in the office or in the comfort of your own home. The results are dramatic and can last for months to about a year before re-treatment is necessary.

Why is Teeth Whitening needed?

There are a variety of reasons for why your teeth looks dulled and yellow. There are times when you may be watching everything you eat and how well you brush your teeth and you’re still dealing with discoloration. Some of the most common causes for staining and discoloration include:

Who is a good candidate for Teeth Whitening?

Even professional whitening will not be able to lighten restorations that you currently have in your mouth. These restorations include veneers, bonding, fillings, crowns and bridge work. Whitening only works on natural teeth. Preferably, you should be free of tooth sensitivity issues to be a good candidate for whitening, as the treatment can make sensitivity worse.

What can you expect with professional Teeth Whitening?

We offer a few different options for those considering professional whitening. Our in-office whitening treatment is done in under an hour and can lighten your teeth by several shades. Whitening gel is applied to your teeth and a light is used to accelerate results. Our at-home whitening treatment is done by taking impressions of your teeth and creating custom-fit whitening trays that can be worn at home. We will provide you with whitening gel that is placed inside of these trays. You get to keep the trays and can simply come back in when more whitening gel is needed.

If you think you might need or want professional whitening, call our office today and we can schedule you with a consultation appointment.
