What is a Dental Emergency?

A dental emergency can leave you in severe pain and feeling completely stressed out. Treatment of an emergency can help in relieving this discomfort and preventing the problem from getting worse. We offer emergency dental care to all new and existing patients regardless of age. Our mission is to provide you with the immediate care that you need so that you can get back to living your best life.

Why is treatment for a Dental Emergency needed?

You might be thinking that your dental emergency isn’t that bad or that you can put off going to see a dentist because it’s not bothering you too much. Unfortunately, dental problems rarely fix themselves. They will typically get worse in a short period of time, causing more problems and requiring more invasive treatment. It’s best to have the emergency treated as soon as you notice there’s an issue.

What can be expected during an appointment for a Dental Emergency?

Your emergency appointment starts by having you sit comfortably in our examination room. We may take x-rays of the area, if they are necessary. Our doctor then comes into the office and examines the tooth or area that is posing a problem. If there’s an infection, we will typically prescribe an antibiotic that has to be taken to clear the infection before treatment can begin. Most often, we’ll be able to provide treatment while you’re in the office. This ensures you’re able to leave the office pain-free and ready to take on your day.

If you have an emergency and need immediate treatment, call us now and we’ll work to get you in as soon as possible.
